The usage of the phrase, "an act of war," should be a familar one. It led us into two major wars after 9/11 (and several proxy wars).
It didn't take long for neocons from both sides (Republians and Democrats) to beat the war drums. Senator Carl Levin, a Democrat and chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, called alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States as an act of war. When asked by reporters whether he considers the alleged scheme to be an act of war, Levin replied, "It may be." This is the same Carl Levin that endorses a proposal go after "terrorist training camps and weapons assembly facilities" in Syria and Iran.
What do you think, an act of war or another fabricated lie?
